With the mobile clinic, there will be no place left unreached by healthcare services

The mobile health vehicle, which increases the accessibility of preventive health services in places where access to health services is difficult, is also used in cancer screening studies.

In this context, cancer screening was carried out in Terme district by the Samsun Health Directorate with the "mobile clinic" sent to the city.

Provincial Health Director Mustafa Uras, in his statement to reporters, stated that primary preventive health services and cancer screening studies are continuing in line with the plans of the Ministry of Health.

Explaining that they provide services under many headings, from baby, pregnancy, postpartum, chronic patient follow-up to cancer screenings, Uras noted the following:

"In order to carry out these studies more strongly and to provide health services to more people where they live, it is of great importance that our infrastructure is strong. In this context, our new mobile clinic sent to Samsun by our Ministry took its place in the field for the first time this week in our cancer screening and information work in Terme. With the entry of our new vehicle into service, the number of mobile clinics in our province has increased to 2."

Uras stated that they will leave no place untouched in Samsun for cancer information activities with mobile clinics and said, "We will carry our cancer screening numbers, which have reached 1 million in the last 10 years, to even higher targets. We are organizing events in all our districts to reach this goal. We are not only conducting cancer screenings in the events we organize."

Uras added that they inform citizens on many issues, from chronic diseases to healthy nutrition recommendations, from dental care to obesity.
