Remarkable research in England! Walking speed affects heart rhythm

A study conducted at the University of Glasgow in England has revealed that walking speed has a significant effect on heart rhythm disorders. Researchers analyzed the walking habits of more than 420,000 middle-aged individuals over 13 years using data collected from the UK Biobank.
IT REACHED 43 PERCENTAccording to the findings, it was determined that the risk of developing heart rhythm disorders was 35 percent lower in people who walked 5 to 6 kilometers per hour. It was noted that this rate increased to 43 percent in those who walked over 6 kilometers per hour. In addition, it was observed that the risk of arrhythmia decreased to 27 percent in individuals who walked briskly.
"IT MAY CONTRIBUTE TO HEART HEALTH"The lead author of the study, Prof. Dr. Jill Pell, said, "This is one of the first studies to examine the relationship between walking speed and heart rhythm disturbances. The findings suggest that walking may contribute to heart health by affecting metabolic and inflammatory processes in the body." Source: DHA This content was published by Recep Demircan
