Not cola or energy drink: This drink causes cancer

Many people who want to stay fit and live healthy question the effects of daily habits such as sugary drinks, energy drinks or coffee on their health. However, a striking warning from an oncology dietician has once again brought to the agenda that the real overlooked danger is alcohol.
Dietitian Nichole emphasized that one of the most critical drinks to be careful about in the fight against cancer is alcohol. Dietitian Nichole drew attention to the fact that alcohol can increase the risk of cancer regardless of the type of alcoholic beverage. Cancer Research UK and many scientific organizations also support this view. Alcohol is associated with at least seven different types of cancer, especially breast cancer, liver, mouth and throat, and bowel cancer.
Moreover, this risk applies not only to excessive consumption, but even to moderate drinking, because alcohol, when broken down in the body, turns into substances such as acetaldehyde, which can damage DNA.
LESS ALCOHOL LESS RISKAccording to experts, men and women should limit their alcohol consumption to 14 units per week, spreading this amount throughout the week. This equates to around six large beers or 10 small glasses of wine. It is also recommended to go several days without a drink each week.
