Vaccine against acne on the way

A French pharmaceutical company is developing a vaccine against acne. The vaccine, produced using mRNA technology, uses a molecule that carries genetic instructions to cells. Thanks to these instructions, the body gives an immune response to the proteins produced by acne-causing bacteria. In this way, the body's defense system is strengthened against acne-causing bacteria.
IT WILL CONTINUE UNTIL 2027 It is stated that the vaccine trials are still in the very early stages. The trials, which started in April 2024, are planned to last until 2027. If the trials are completed and the necessary approval is received, this will be the first acne vaccine produced.
GROUNDBREAKING INVENTION
Scientists working for the French pharmaceutical company describe the vaccine as a breakthrough in acne treatment, saying it offers a much better alternative to current methods that are not fully curative, take a long time and have side effects.
ACNE TREATMENT
Birth control pills or antibiotics can be used to treat acne. Another treatment method, retinoid creams or gels, is warned to cause skin dryness, irritation or psychological disorders such as depression. It is not yet known how long the effect of the vaccine will last and how often it will need to be used. Acne affects 95 percent of people between the ages of 11 and 30.
