They learned about leukemia from the fracture in his body

The Taşlı family, who live in Fatsa, applied to hospitals in Fatsa due to their son Muhammet Emin's frequent bone fractures. The Taşlı family, who came to Samsun after a total of 6 fractures in his right and left feet, ankles and spine, learned during examinations at a private hospital here that the underlying cause of the bone weakness was leukemia. Following the diagnosis made on October 15, 2024, the treatment process began for Muhammet Emin Taşlı. Taşlı, who stayed with his mother at the Samsun Leukemia and Blood Diseases Association's (LÖSAM) Transplant Families Support Project (NADEP) guest house, regained his health after 8 months. Taşlı will be regularly monitored for 5 years in case of a relapse.

Stating that the treatment went well and her son regained his health, Saliha Taşlı, a mother of two, said, “My son contracted leukemia. He was diagnosed here. Our treatment progressed very well. My son is now healed. But he will be under follow-up for 5 years. Thank God, we have come this far.”

"I WAS SCARED WHEN MY SON FELL BEFORE, BUT NOW I AM NOT SCARED"

Saliha Taşlı, who stated that they did not understand that her son had leukemia at first, said, “I was very upset when I first heard. My world was falling apart. But I said, ‘we must not give up the fight.’ I did not let my son feel anything either. We did not understand that he had leukemia at first. We came here because of the fractures in my son’s body. His right and left feet and ankles were broken. The last time, there were 2 fractures in his spine. We came here with 6 fractures. The reason for the fractures was blood diseases. In other words, it was leukemia. My son is very well now. He does not break anything when he falls. Before, I was afraid that he would break something when he fell. But now I am not afraid when he falls.”

Muhammet Emin Taşlı, who only went to the kindergarten for one day, said that he is getting better and is happy.
