Social media has changed the perception of beauty! Don't make these mistakes when getting plastic surgery

The filtered photos and perfect looks that we constantly encounter direct many people to plastic surgery by targeting these images for themselves. Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery Specialist Dr. Nihal Üstün says, “Many people now want to achieve the edits in their photos in real life. This phenomenon, called "Snapchat dysmorphia", describes people being satisfied with their edited selfies and wanting to capture that image in real life. However, this desire can sometimes turn into an effort to reach seemingly impossible aesthetic standards, and problems that are very difficult or even impossible to compensate for can be encountered.” Stating that celebrities and influencers in particular openly share their aesthetic procedures, making this subject more attractive to many people, especially the young generation who are active on social media, Dr. Üstün says that plastic surgery is now seen as an ordinary practice, and as a result, some important mistakes can be made very often.
