MHP Deputy Chairman rebelled against AKP ranks: Where are you going, shame on you!

A remarkable moment occurred during the discussion of the Climate Law proposal in the General Assembly of the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye (TBMM).

Despite the opposition parties frequently requesting roll calls and quorums, 15-minute breaks were given due to the absence of AKP deputies in the hall. Thereupon, Deputy Speaker of the Parliament Celal Adan complained to the AKP benches.

“ SHAME ON YOU, GO IN AND OUT HERE, WE ARE TIRED”

Adan turned to the AKP deputies who were leaving the hall after the roll call and said, "Where are you going, my friend? Don't go. There is a break every 15 minutes. Shame on you. We are tired of going in and out, don't do it. Dear deputies, opposition group deputy chairmen said from time to time that they would ask for a quorum for decisions and meetings. Therefore, let's follow the events. Of course, you have work to do outside, but let's complete this proposal. They definitely have work to do, but they should be sensitive about this issue."
