The Training of Trainers Certificate Program has started at SBÜ

The “Training of Trainers Certificate Program” organized in cooperation with the Health Sciences University and Gazi University Faculty of Education started with the participation of the Health Sciences University Rector Prof. Dr. Kemalettin Aydın and Gazi University Rector Prof. Dr. Uğur Ünal.

The first session of the program, which aims to increase the pedagogical competence of faculty members, was held in the Gülhane Complex of the university.

The program coordinator is Gazi Faculty of Education Dean Prof. Dr. Bilal Güneş, while the assistant coordinator is Vice Dean Prof. Dr. Ferudun Sezgin. During the training process, Prof. Dr. Gürcü Koç, Prof. Dr. Gülgün Alpan, Prof. Dr. Işıl İrem Budakoğlu, Assist. Prof. Meral Alkan and Prof. Dr. Serçin Karataş will share their knowledge and experiences in their fields of expertise with the participants. In addition, Res. Asst. Dr. Esra Oyar will take part in the measurement-evaluation and feedback processes of the program.

“This collaboration is a great value for health education”

The first speech at the opening program was made by Gazi Faculty of Education Dean and Program Coordinator Prof. Dr. Bilal Güneş. Emphasizing that Gazi Faculty of Education is one of the most deep-rooted and comprehensive education faculties in Türkiye, Prof. Dr. Güneş stated that this collaboration with the Health Sciences University is of great value in terms of health education. He expressed his belief that the program will provide concrete contributions to educators in the field of health.

Gazi University President Prof. Dr. Uğur Ünal expressed his hope that this meaningful collaboration would be beneficial for both institutions. Ünal, who drew attention to the great importance of two deep-rooted universities coming together to carry out joint projects in the field of education, stated that he believed that such programs would open the door to new projects in the future.

The goal is to provide world-class education

In his speech at the opening of the program, Rector of the University of Health Sciences Prof. Dr. Kemalettin Aydın said, “Increasing the quality of health education is possible with academics who not only convey knowledge but also inspire, guide and train qualified individuals.”

Prof. Dr. Aydın stated that they attach great importance to comprehensive programs such as 'Training of Trainers' to support the professional development of faculty members with this goal, and continued his words as follows:

“We attach importance to our academic staff learning contemporary education methods and getting to know good practice examples through learning from each other through such programs. The Health Sciences University will continue to implement such programs with the aim of providing world-class education in the field of health.”

Approximately 40 academic staff from different faculties and units of the Health Sciences University are participating in the training program, which is planned to be a total of 30 hours and will last for one week.
