Iran calls US attacks on Yemen a war crime!

Iran calls US attacks on Yemen a war crime!

Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Ismail Bekayi said that they strongly condemned the attacks by US forces targeting Yemen's infrastructure and residential areas.

Noting that the attacks were a grave violation of the principles of the United Nations (UN) Charter and the rules of international law, Bekayi said that targeting residential areas and civilian infrastructure in Yemen was a "war crime and a crime against humanity."

Bekayi called on the UN Security Council and regional countries to take action against the "war-mongering and lawlessness" of Israel and the US.

The Iran-backed Houthis in Yemen announced that the US carried out airstrikes on various parts of the country and on the Ras Isa Port in the city of Hudaydah.

The US also hit Ras Isa Port on April 17, and it was reported that at least 74 people died and 171 were injured in the attack.
