New pilot program coming this year

Let us recall: The Ministry of Family, Labor and Social Policy will launch pilot programs related to shortening working hours, and participation in them is to be voluntary.

- Sometimes it will be a reduction in the working day in hours. Sometimes it may be an extension of vacation days, for example in manufacturing plants, where it would be difficult to reduce this hourly dimension. It is possible to reduce the working days in a week - said the Minister of Labor. She noted that the ministry will encourage employers and employees to tread certain paths as part of the pilot program. - Later, after collecting this data and conclusions from their experiences, we will work out legislative solutions that can be implemented - noted the head of the Ministry of Labor and Social Policy.

The Minister of Labor said she hopes the pilot will come into effect in 2025, and that recruitment for the program will start after the summer holidays. She also announced that legislative changes will depend on the results of the pilot, which will last about a year.
