Unscrupulous posts after Önder! The President of the Istanbul Youth Branch of the Victory Party was dismissed

Following the death of DEM Party MP, TBMM Deputy Speaker and İmralı delegation member Sırrı Süreyya Önder, the Zafer Party Istanbul Youth Branch shared posts with a 'yellow bag'. These posts quickly drew a lot of backlash. Following the backlash, Zafer Party Istanbul Youth Branch President Ege İşleyenyel was dismissed. Following the decision, Zafer Party General President Ümit Özdağ said, "There is no place for the vulgar in the Zafer Party."

Şehirlioğlu made the following statement from his X account:

"I wanted to share with the public the information and decision of our Chairman Mr. Ümit Özdağ regarding the Istanbul Provincial Youth Branch of the Zafer Party. As a result of the investigation conducted regarding the irresponsible sharing made from the Istanbul Provincial Youth Branch account of the Zafer Party, it has been determined that the Youth Branch account was used by two people who resigned from the Zafer Party a year ago, and that they have resisted deleting the posts despite persistent requests made as of this morning.

In addition, the referral process for Ege İşleyenel, the Istanbul Provincial Youth Branch President, to the disciplinary board was initiated by the Istanbul Provincial President Hakan Akşit in April 2025, and as deemed necessary today, his duty as the Provincial Youth Branch President was terminated.
