The officials are watching and listening! The Arbitration Board meeting has ended.

The Public Officials Arbitration Board convened at 2:30 p.m. to determine the raise rate for public employees and retirees. The meeting concluded around 4:50 p.m.
Mahmut Faruk Doğan, President of the Health and Social Service Workers Union (Sağlık-Sen) and officials from the Confederation of Public Employees' Unions (Kamu-Sen) and the Confederation of Public Employees' Unions of Turkey (Memur-Sen) also attended the meeting.
DECISION WILL BE MADE WITHIN 5 DAYS The board, which convened for the first time under the chairmanship of Court of Accounts President Metin Yener, must make its decision within 5 days.
WHAT HAPPENED? The Public Employers' Committee first proposed a 10 percent raise in the first six months of 2026, a 6 percent raise in the second six months, and a 4 percent raise in the first and second six months of 2027, in its proposal on August 12.
The committee, which submitted a new proposal on August 15, suggested a 1,000 lira increase in the base salary in addition to the 2026 raise rates.
Finally, the Public Employers' Committee revised its proposals once again on August 18th, offering an 11 percent raise for the first six months of 2026 and a 7 percent raise for the second six months. It did not make any changes to its previous proposal for 2027.
