He resigned from the CHP! Beykoz Municipality Council Member Nevzat Cebeci joined the AKP

The resignations in CHP Beykoz remain on the agenda.
Following the death of Özlem Vural Gürzel, Deputy Mayor of Beykoz, Istanbul, three council members resigned from the CHP. With these resignations, the CHP lost its majority on the municipal council.
Nevzat Cebeci, one of the resigning party members, joined the AKP today. The announcement was made by AKP Beykoz District Chairman Özkan Ayduğan.
In his resignation statement, Cebeci stated that he and his comrades had gained valuable experience during his political work within the CHP. Cebeci wholeheartedly thanked everyone for their support and contributions during this process, saying:
In the roles I have patiently and persistently undertaken to date, I have unfortunately witnessed some individuals and perspectives within the party exhibiting divisive rather than unifying, destructive rather than constructive attitudes. Emphasizing personal interests rather than representing the party is incompatible with the CHP's core values. I hereby inform the public that, under current circumstances, I cannot continue to serve as a council member within the CHP and have resigned from my party membership. This decision is an inevitable consequence of the processes I have experienced and the realities I have witnessed. I will continue my duties as a Beykoz Municipal Council Member with the same determination, prioritizing the interests of Beykoz and its residents above all political considerations.
