CHP members hold a night vigil in front of the provincial headquarters!

Özgür Çelik continues to wait with the citizens at the Provincial Headquarters after being suspended from his position as CHP Istanbul Provincial Chairman by court decision.

Çelik stated in a post on his social media account that they would continue their wait throughout the night, saying, "The organization is here. The people are here. We are here all night. The people's home, their family home, is in safe hands."

The Istanbul 45th Civil Court of First Instance canceled the CHP's Istanbul Provincial Congress, which was held in October 2023. The court ruled that CHP Istanbul Provincial Chair Özgür Çelik, the main and alternate members of the Provincial Executive Board, and the main and alternate members of the Provincial Disciplinary Board be suspended as a precautionary measure. An interim board consisting of Gürsel Tekin, Zeki Şen, Hasan Babacan, Müjdat Gürbüz, and Erkan Narsap was appointed as trustees.
