  • The change was introduced at the request of the Ministry of Health, in response to the demands of experts and patient organizations.

800 PLN for glasses and 1050 PLN for lenses. The money will be paid out by, among others, the National Health Fund. Few people know about it

Molecular blood tests are performed to select the appropriate treatment regimen for an oncology patient. The patient comes to the hospital only for a blood draw and returns home the same day.

As the Ministry of Health emphasizes in a press release, BRCA mutations are important not only in the case of breast or ovarian cancer, but also pancreatic, fallopian tube, peritoneal and prostate cancer.

- These studies will improve the qualification of patients for appropriate drug programs, regardless of whether the patient will ultimately be included in them - explains the ministry.

The new regulations also expand access to genetic diagnostics for patients with:

  • cancer of the gallbladder and bile ducts,
  • renal pelvis, ureter and other parts of the urinary tract.
