Claudia Sheinbaum promises equipped hospitals by the end of 2025

Claudia Sheinbaum promises equipped hospitals by the end of 2025

President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo announced that next year the "House-to-House Health" program will perform cataract surgeries for older adults.

Leading the "House-to-House Health" meeting at the Maruata Community Hospital in Michoacán, the federal president emphasized that this program has a long-term vision because "we don't want the lack of care to continue to grow" and for an older adult to die because they weren't treated or because no one told them they had high blood pressure or diabetes.

"We're going to continue working; we'll support this program in due course. I believe that starting next year, we're working on enabling seniors with cataracts to receive surgery directly. We're also working on other conditions that seniors may have that will allow for well-being, because it's not just a matter of caring for someone when they're sick, but rather providing for them."

Accompanied by Governor Alfredo Ramírez Bedolla (Morena), the federal leader stated that efforts are being made to reduce serious illnesses such as hypertension and diabetes.

President Claudia Sheinbaum reminded everyone that free medications will be provided at Farmacias del Bienestar (Well-being Pharmacies) and health centers.

He emphasized that "House-to-House Health" is a local program that reaches out to people and those most in need. "It's a home-based care program for prevention and early health care that no other country in the world has."

“Before the end of the year, all IMSS Bienestar hospitals will be equipped,” said Claudia Sheinbaum .

The President pledged that, before the end of this year, all IMSS-Bienestar hospitals will be equipped, and that the necessary medical personnel will be hired.

While overseeing the progress of the construction of the IMSS Bienestar Community Hospital in Maruata, the federal president emphasized that this new health system will now be operating in 23 states and will soon be available in Yucatán.

"This year, we want to have all the equipment in place, as well as the hiring of all the doctors, nurses, and nurses, so that IMSS Bienestar can operate not only in Michoacán, but also in the 23 states where it already exists, and where it will soon be expanding to the state of Yucatán."

“There will be 24 federal entities with the IMSS Bienestar.”

Before hundreds of residents, President Claudia Sheinbaum pledged that the IMSS Bienestar Community Hospital in Maruata will open on August 15.

Earlier, Governor Alfredo Ramírez Bedolla (Morena) emphasized that the hospital is earthquake- and hurricane-proof, will be able to perform surgeries, and will have a shelter for the families of patients.

The governor of Michoacán explained that this new hospital will have 30 beds, 30 medical offices, an operating room, and an emergency room.
