The season changed, depression was triggered

Psychologist Hatice Güneş from Istanbul Erenköy Mental and Nervous Diseases Training and Research Hospital highlighted the fatigue and lack of motivation experienced during seasonal transitions. She offered important warnings…
LOSS OF MOTIVATION Güneş said, "As the seasons change, we observe some changes in nature. The change in daylight hours affects how much daylight we get. We observe changes in humidity, temperature, air pressure, and the spread of pollen. As our bodies adapt to these changes, we may observe certain symptoms. These include easy fatigue, disruption of sleep patterns, restlessness, loss of motivation, distraction, and muscle and joint pain."
EAT A BALANCED DIET Güneş, noting that these symptoms can usually last a few days or two weeks, said, "The body gradually adapts during this time. This way, the symptoms will also diminish. During this time, drinking enough water, going to bed and waking up at the same time, consuming seasonal fruits and vegetables, doing light exercise, taking advantage of daylight, and taking short breaks and resting throughout the day will help you feel less affected by the process."
BE CAREFUL IF COMPLAINTS LAST LONGER THAN TWO WEEKS! Güneş, noting that with the change of seasons, the weather begins to turn cloudy, daylight and temperatures decrease, some people may experience more intense emotional symptoms, said the following: "Many people may experience symptoms such as constant fatigue, increase or decrease in sleep and appetite, loss of motivation, difficulty in attention and concentration, reluctance, weakness, and withdrawal from enjoyable activities during this period. If complaints last longer than two weeks, cause serious problems that affect daily life, there are significant changes in sleep and appetite, and if the symptoms are accompanied by intense unhappiness, anxiety or hopelessness, this may indicate seasonal depression."
