Özgür Özel: Baklavacı withdrew his resignation in favor of the AKP so that a majority could be achieved

In the chain of operations that began with Esenyurt and continued with the arrest of presidential candidate and Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu, an operation was also carried out against Antalya Manavgat Municipality.

It was alleged that money was brought in baklava boxes during the operation carried out at the Manavgat Municipality and that this money was taken by Deputy Mayor Mehmet Emin Tüter.

CHP Chairman Özgür Özel said that Tüter, whom he described as a baklava seller during operations at the Manavgat Municipality, had previously been detained and that he had set up the baklava conspiracy as a collaborator during this process.

Özel announced that a game was being played to transfer the majority of the parliamentary seats to the AKP before the deputy mayor election held in Manavgat Municipality following the arrest of Mayor Niyazi Nefi Kara.

Following these statements, Özel explained the details of this game in his speech today.

Stating that Özel Tüter gave the names of 6 CHP members so that the Assembly majority would pass to the AKP, he said, "The deputy mayor will be elected with a difference of 4. He gives the names of our Municipal Council members so that the municipality would pass to the AKP. First, he gives 3 names... We make 3 of them resign, and then he gives 3 more names."

He stated that Tüter withdrew his resignation, which he had submitted to the AKP for the municipality to be transferred, in favor of the AKP. He said, "The baklava maker tried to reduce the CHP's numbers by withdrawing his own resignation in favor of the AKP the next day on Sunday night, which he had submitted to the municipality to be transferred to the AKP. The district election board chair is not implementing all the decisions made on this matter. She ran away. Why is she running away? Because the Chief Prosecutor's wife... They instructed the Chief Prosecutor to remove seven of our council members so that the majority would go to the AKP in the municipal council elections. They all resigned and were replaced by substitutes. So let's see this conspiracy."
