Israeli-Palestinian tensions before Miss Universe! Beauties clash on social media

Nadeen Ayoub, who was crowned Miss Palestine for the first time in 2022 and will represent Palestine at Miss Universe for the first time, shared social media posts about Gaza. Miss Israel Melanie Shiraz, however, accused Ayoub of spreading misinformation, saying, "This isn't advocacy; it's fabrication!"

The Jewish Chronicle newspaper, which reported the report, commented: “Posts on Ayoub’s Instagram account in which he exaggerated the death toll in Gaza and labeled Masada and Jerusalem as ‘Palestine’ have attracted attention.”

The newspaper reported that Israeli beauty Shiraz said the posts "distorted the minds of young people and glorified violence." Shiraz claimed, "Taking photos of innocent Israeli children and presenting them as Palestinians is not an act of mercy; it's identity theft."
