Flash separation in the National Volleyball Team

The Turkish Volleyball Federation has decided not to continue with the National Men's Volleyball Team Head Coach Umut Çakır. The official statement has been made.

In a statement made by the Federation, it was stated that "We have parted ways with our National Men's Volleyball Team Head Coach Umut Çakır and our assistant coach Mert Karatop by mutual consent. We would like to thank Umut Çakır and Mert Karatop for their contributions to our National Men's Volleyball Team and wish them success in their future careers."

The National Men's Volleyball Team, managed by Umut Çakır, had 2 wins and 6 losses in the first 8 matches of the 2025 FIVB Nations League (VNL). The crescent-star team is in 16th place in the 18-team league.
