17 tons of spoiled meat seized at three workplaces!

17 tons of spoiled meat were seized from three workplaces in Ankara where spoiled food was produced and sold.

According to the information received, as a result of the investigations conducted by the Anti-Smuggling and Organized Crime (KOM) Branch Directorate affiliated with the Provincial Gendarmerie Command under the coordination of the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, it was learned that spoiled food was being produced and sold in some workplaces in the city.

Following this detection, the KOM Branch Directorate and Akyurt District Gendarmerie Command teams conducted searches in three different workplaces and seized 17 tons of spoiled meat and chicken products with a market value of approximately 15 million 500 thousand liras and 1 mechanically separated meat production machine.

The seized material was destroyed by Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry officials and legal proceedings were initiated against the three suspects.
