Warsaw city councilors will consider two bills introducing a ban today. One is authored by the Left and the Miasto Jest Nasze (City Is Our) party, the other by Mayor Rafał Trzaskowski. The ban would apply at night and would be the latest in Poland.
The Left Club and Miasto Jest Nasze have prepared a draft resolution introducing a nighttime prohibition. It would apply throughout the city from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM .
The sales restriction will apply to:
- in stores,
- at gas stations.
The nighttime prohibition will not apply to:
- restaurant,
- bars,
- pubs.
If the councillors adopted the resolution, it would come into force 14 days after its publication in the Official Journal of the Mazowieckie Voivodeship and in the Public Information Bulletin of the Capital City of Warsaw.
A similar draft resolution was also presented by Warsaw Mayor Rafał Trzaskowski. His proposal would impose prohibition from 11 p.m. to 6 a.m. , with a three-month grace period.
