PLN 4,134 per month from November. That's right - you'll also receive money for this disease.

Starting in November, people with chronic illnesses can receive up to 4,134 PLN per month in support benefits. The new support system aims to equalize opportunities for adults with disabilities and facilitate their daily lives. Find out who is eligible and why it's worth applying this year.
- The support benefit is a new type of financial assistance for adults with disabilities, the amount of which can reach up to PLN 4,134 per month.
- From 2026, people with moderate support needs, with a score of 70 or more on the WZON scale, will also be entitled to the benefit.
- Submitting an application in November gives you a chance to get a quicker decision and payment this year, before the adjudication system is fully integrated.
The Infor portal reminded that a new model of financial assistance for adults with disabilities has been in effect in Poland since 2024. Support benefits are granted to those whose health significantly limits their independence.
The maximum amount, after the March indexation, is PLN 4,134 per month, or 220% of the social pension . According to ZUS data, the program is extremely popular.
By the end of 2024, over 470,000 applications had been submitted, and benefits had already been granted to over 120,000 people . Only the actual degree of dependency, determined in six areas of daily life, counts.
From 2026, the circle of eligible individuals will expand even further. The amendment will apply to individuals who score between 70 and 77 points on the WZON scale.
The benefit is available to patients suffering from, among others:
- neurological diseases (epilepsy, multiple sclerosis),
- mental disorders (schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, treatment-resistant depression),
- malignant tumors,
- heart, lung or kidney failure,
- diabetes with organ complications,
- rare diseases,
- congenital genetic defects,
- advanced degenerative changes,
- chronic back pain.
The list of units qualifying for a ruling currently includes 208 items.
To receive support benefits, you must obtain a decision confirming your need for support. An application must be submitted to the district or municipal assessment body (PZON/MZON), along with medical documentation.
After receiving the WZON decision, individuals with a score of 70 or more can submit an application to the Social Insurance Institution (ZUS) via PUE ZUS, Emp@tia, or online banking. If they do so within three months, they are entitled to compensation for the previous months.
The amount of the benefit depends on the score:
- 70-74 points - PLN 753.84,
- 75-79 points - PLN 1,130.77,
- 80-84 points - PLN 1,507.69,
- 85-89 points - PLN 2,261.53,
- 90-94 points - PLN 3,392.30,
- 95-100 points - PLN 4,134.00.
The assistance is permanent, paid monthly and does not reduce other forms of support, such as pensions or subsidies from PFRON.
Possession of the decision also opens the way to numerous reliefs and subsidies: tax deductions, transport discounts, parking cards, co-financing of rehabilitation stays and the removal of architectural barriers.
In some cases, it also allows for early retirement or disability pension.
Experts point out that November is the best time to start the procedure, as it increases the chance of a decision and payment before 2026 .
