We're reminding all Poles that, as of March 2025, the Social Insurance Institution (ZUS) has increased pensions and benefits—including care and orphan benefits. Thousands of seniors and caregivers can count on real financial support. See who will benefit the most and how much the new amounts are.
On March 1, 2025, pensions and disability benefits, including social security and survivors' benefits, were indexed. Social Insurance Institution (ZUS) benefits will also increase. Benefits will be increased by 5.5%.
New amounts of selected benefits from 1 March 2025:
- the lowest pension, survivor's pension and total pension
- incapacity for work will increase by PLN 97.95, reaching PLN 1,878.91 gross.
- The social pension will also be increased to PLN 1,878.91. The pension for partial incapacity for work from March 1, 2025 will amount to PLN 1,409.18.
In addition, the limit amount of the supplementary benefit for persons:
- those unable to live independently will be increased by PLN 133.06,
- which will give a total value of PLN 2,552.39.
- The pre-retirement benefit will amount to PLN 1,893.41 gross,
- the allowance for a complete orphan will increase to PLN 654.48,
- the care allowance will amount to PLN 348.22.
- Additionally, the care allowance for a war invalid deemed to be completely incapable of work and unable to live independently will amount to PLN 522.33,
- while the energy lump sum will amount to PLN 312.71.
It is also known what the increase in pension and disability allowances will be, including the care allowance and the little-known allowance for complete orphans.
From March 1, 2025, the benefit increased to PLN 654.48
Supplement for complete orphans from ZUS:
- This benefit is paid to a person whose parents are deceased and who receives a survivor's pension.
- The money is paid by ZUS and KRUS as supplements to pension and disability benefits.
- Importantly, this benefit is available regardless of age.
- In addition, you are also entitled to a pension when you receive a pension only after your mother has died and the father is unknown.
- The orphan's allowance is paid to every orphan, regardless of how many orphans are eligible for the same survivor's pension. This means that regardless of whether a couple had two or five children, if they die, each of them will receive the allowance.
An application for payment can be submitted at any time. The Social Insurance Institution (ZUS) issues a decision on granting benefits within 30 days of the last circumstance necessary to issue the decision being clarified.
