The orange heatwave alert remains in effect for Saturday, June 21 in Lyon, where temperatures could reach 36°C.
Météo France is maintaining an orange heatwave alert for the Rhône and Isère regions on Saturday, June 21. The day could be even hotter than Friday's due to " anticyclonic conditions, combined with a very warm air mass, generating this early heatwave ," Météo France said.
In Lyon, temperatures could reach up to 36°C, according to Météo Lyon forecasts, a difference of 9°C from the seasonal norm. Nighttime temperatures will remain very mild, with temperatures above 20°C.
Note that Sunday is expected to be the hottest day of this early heatwave, with temperatures potentially reaching 37°C.
