" With heatwave conditions and stable air masses, ozone formation will be intense. The information and recommendation threshold set at 180µg/m3 could be exceeded in the Lyon North Isère basin and the Rhône Valley, and yellow alerts have been activated, " explains Atmo, the air quality observatory in Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes. It continues: " PM10 particle levels could increase following the passage of desert dust. Air quality could deteriorate to poor. "
This Tuesday, Atmo classifies the concentrations of ozone and multi-pollutants as poor, while they will be average for nitrogen dioxide and fine particles.
