Nérac Hospital: Caregivers call for new mobilization, Friday, June 27

The inter-union is calling for a demonstration on Friday, starting at 2:30 p.m., in front of the hospital in the Cité d'Henri IV.
The CFDT, CGT, FO, and UNSA inter-union is calling for a demonstration on June 27, starting at 2:30 p.m., in front of Nérac Hospital. It's not the long-awaited new premises of the Violettes nursing home that are at stake. Quite the opposite. The move, which began on Tuesday, June 24, is continuing until Wednesday evening. It's the internal organization that's causing concern in these future premises. "We're stripping one department to build another; it's not possible," sighed two CFDT representatives.
Transfer of agents?A total of 70 residents are moving from the Violettes nursing home, which has become too dilapidated. Ten residents from the Marguerites facility are also moving into these brand-new premises, located next to the old Nérac train station, opposite Babcock Wanson, near Agrinove. "This new site is larger and more spacious. Twelve staff members per day, or six per floor, are needed for the smooth running of services. However, there is talk of removing one of them and transferring them to Les Marguerites, where there are still 44 residents. And we refuse this."
To work well, "in an ideal situation, we would like there to be eight caregivers per day at Les Marguerites; twelve per day in the new premises at Les Violettes." "The problem is that this work was financed on the condition that services remain at constant resources," denounce the unions, who have been negotiating with management on this point since April. "There has been progress in social dialogue," concede the CFDT representatives. "We hope that these will be confirmed." It should be noted that the inter-union already took to the streets on Thursday, May 15 , after ten days of strike action.
