WHAT CARE? Adapted physical activity sessions (one year of coverage) take place in the physiotherapy practice. Sessions are group sessions, with a maximum of five people, but focus on the individual needs of participants. "We also offer adapted socio-aesthetic treatments to alleviate the side effects of cancer treatments," adds Rémi Delaporte. These include "manicures, pedicures, facials, and relaxing massages," says socio-aesthetician Alicia Hérin. "This can also include makeup to redraw the eyebrow line, for example." A moment of well-being that often encourages free speech. Shiatsu and dietetic consultations complete the program, which is enhanced by psychological support for the patient and their loved ones. Consultations take place in the psychologist's office in Brulange. Finally, note the possibility of benefiting from the cognitive rehabilitation and remediation program with a neuropsychologist (via video). Objective: to mitigate the cognitive impacts linked to cancer and treatments.
ONE-OFF FINANCIAL SUPPORT. According to League figures, 38% of sick people experience a decrease in their income due to the illness. "The committee can provide financial support through the granting of one-off aid," says Rémi Delaporte . "This can concern childcare, difficulties paying electricity bills, rent... All you have to do is put together a file with a social worker who will forward it to the League." The aid is paid directly to the service provider.

A network across the Moselle region
In 2024, around thirty people benefited from supportive care at the Morhange health center . The system was set up at the end of 2022. In Moselle, 53 locations provide this supportive care, including Valmont (at the Maison de la culture), Saint-Avold (only adapted physical activity at the Maison sport santé) and Carling (health gym, only for adapted physical activity). In 2024, €151,465 was committed by the Ligue contre le cancer to support care. To benefit from it, a medical certificate issued by a general practitioner or oncologist is required.
