Lot-et-Garonne: the Fondation de France launches a volunteer recruitment campaign

Lot-et-Garonne: the Fondation de France launches a volunteer recruitment campaign

By Emma Le Fortier

Lacking volunteers, the structure has launched a recruitment campaign in the department, and more broadly throughout the South West

As the previous team nears the end of its mandate, the Fondation de France (FDF) is seeking to recruit two new volunteers to carry out its missions in Lot-et-Garonne. The organization supports a wide range of associations dedicated to addressing societal challenges. "Candidates will be selected based on their application. There are certain prerequisites, such as having time available during the week," explains Yann Desdouets, the FDF's Grand-Ouest general delegate, adding that the majority of volunteers are recent retirees. They must have one to two free days per week to select associations and support them in their projects.

The FDF notably supported the launch of the Emmaüs Le Maquis farming community in Moncrabeau , as well as the rural transition district in the hamlet of Lustrac in Trentels, the first part of which was completed in March . The objective, by the end of 2026, would be to double the number of volunteers present in the region, currently around ten people, according to Yann Desdouets.
