Heatwave in Aytré: a social monitoring system for vulnerable people

By Arnaud Bébien
In the face of the heatwave, the town of Aytré is reminding people of the existence of a social monitoring system for the most vulnerable people.
The heatwave provides an opportunity for the City to remind everyone that a social monitoring system exists for the most vulnerable. Since 2005, the Municipal Social Action Center (CCAS) has implemented this system, activated by the municipal crisis unit in the event of a major health or meteorological event, or by the prefecture as part of heatwave plans. This system is intended to ensure vigilance among the most vulnerable people in the area, identified by the CCAS services or voluntarily registered to benefit from a support service.
The City therefore invites residents or relatives of the person in a vulnerable or isolated situation to contact the CCAS at Parc Jean-Macé. "In times of major crisis, an isolated or vulnerable person may need support," insists the City of Aytré.
