Health. Medically Assisted Procreation (MAP) at the Nancy University Hospital: What the 2021 Bioethics Law Has Changed

Dr. Mikaël Agopiantz was recently invited to an "Ethics Café" at the Central Hospital by Sarah Mahmoudi, legal director at the Nancy University Hospital and vice-president of the institution's ethics committee. The head of the MAP (Assisted Medical Procreation) department at the Nancy University Hospital maternity ward came to discuss the changes brought to his discipline by the bioethics law promulgated in August 2021. These meetings are times for discussion on medical, societal, and even philosophical issues. They are open to all and not exclusively reserved for healthcare professionals. This time, the focus was on the evolution of the legal texts governing practices in MAP centers.
