In Saint-Étienne, Nadia Makhlouf and her brother have taken over from their mother at the helm of the company Aux Portes du Maghreb. At the markets, she sells her family specialties… And, what's more, she's a hit on TikTok.
Born amidst the smell of freshly baked bread, Nadia grew up surrounded by bakeries and market stalls: "Originally, I wanted to be an educator... But I was too sensitive for social work, so I decided to work with my mother and proudly took up the torch."
Since the death of their mother, founder of Aux Portes du Maghreb, Nadia and her brother have chosen to perpetuate this family history and passion: each shares the markets, to better cover the ground and keep pace with a loyal clientele.
