After several months of work, Breil-sur-Roya inaugurates its new nursing office

After several months of work, Breil-sur-Roya inaugurates its new nursing office

This Saturday, July 5, residents, elected officials and health professionals gathered in Breil-sur-Roya to inaugurate the new nursing practice.

A story of returning to the roots

In 2021, David Allavena, a local, decided to return to Breil. He took over the former practice located on Rue Pasteur. A year later, in 2022, Emmanuelle Sozzani, a Menton nurse who had recently moved to the town, joined the adventure. Together, they quickly shared a common ambition: to offer a more spacious, brighter, and more accessible care space.

"It was a bit of chance that brought us together, but we can say that we were both very lucky. We complement each other very well, we share the same vision of our profession, so joining forces was a no-brainer... Today, I couldn't see myself working without her," David Allavena confides with emotion.

A long-matured project

It took time to find the ideal location. They finally found the perfect spot on Rue Pasteur and Boulevard Rouvier: a spacious, light-filled space, and, above all, a great location.

More visible, more central, easier to locate: it's all there. After five months of work , the dream is becoming a reality. Wanting to rely on local skills, the two nurses called on local craftsmen to carry out the work.

Particular attention has been paid to the façade, carefully recreated as it was in 1898, with the same original typography and colors. This precision work is the result of the expertise of a passionate craftsman.

An additional care offer

The new practice includes four treatment rooms : one dedicated to the two nurses, and three others currently available. These rooms are open to proposals from healthcare professionals wishing to set up in the town. This is a great opportunity to strengthen the healthcare offerings in the valley. The two nurses also haven't ruled out expanding their services, an idea that is still being considered. "We are really happy, and we would like to thank, of course, the craftsmen who worked on the opening of the practice, but especially Ms. Botton, who trusted us and agreed to have all this work done in her premises," emphasizes Emmanuelle Sozzani.

With this new office, David Allavena and Emmanuelle Sozzani are becoming more involved in local life, in addition to the health center , to meet daily needs.
