The Spanish Agency for Food Safety and Nutrition reports that the Spanish Agency for Medicines and Health Products (AEMPS) has ordered the withdrawal of the food supplement Nectar of Love due to the presence of sildenafil not declared on the label.
According to the analyses carried out by the AEMPS, the product marketed as a food supplement contains the active substance sildenafil in sufficient quantity to restore, correct or modify a physiological function , exerting a pharmacological action, which gives it the status of a medicine, and may produce adverse reactions of varying severity.
Considering the aforementioned risks, as well as the fact that Nectar of Love has not been subject to pre-market evaluation and authorization by the AEMPS (Spanish Agency for the Promotion of Public Health), the agency has taken the precautionary measure of prohibiting its sale and requesting the withdrawal of all its products from the market.
