Tips to reduce cholesterol

The first guideline the nutrition professional shares on her TikTok profile is to replace cheese and sausage in our breakfasts with healthier options. Specifically, she suggests avocado, hummus, tuna, or sardines . She also recommends eating 30 grams of nuts as a daily snack.

The nutritionist continues the video with more advice: “Add a handful of legumes to every meal you make. Whatever it is, always add a little chickpeas, lentils, or beans as a side dish ,” says Júlia Farré about an essential addition to our everyday meals.

On the other hand, he recommends using water instead of wine as a beverage to accompany our meals. Despite its controversial benefits for the cardiovascular system, wine isn't particularly beneficial if we have high cholesterol levels. Finally, he advises consuming a good amount of vegetables as the first course of our dinner , regardless of the format.
