EPS Famisanar finalizes its contract for dispensing medications with Colsubsidio Drugstores: there will be four new dispensaries.

EPS Famisanar finalizes its contract for dispensing medications with Colsubsidio Drugstores: there will be four new dispensaries.
EPS Famisanar reported this Tuesday that, in order to guarantee the effective and timely delivery of medications to our members, the decision was made, by mutual agreement, to terminate the contractual relationship with Droguerías Colsubsidio as a pharmaceutical operator in Bogotá, Cundinamarca (Soacha, Fusagasugá, Funza, Girardot, Cajicá, La Mesa), Tolima (Ibagué), Meta (Villavicencio), and Boyacá (Tunja, Chiquinquirá, Paipa).

According to Famisanar, an EPS currently under intervention by the Supersalud (Health Superintendency), the decision was made due to "repeated and systematic failures in the dispensing of medications, which have affected the continuity of medical treatment for thousands of members."
Since the forced administrative intervention to administer in September 2023 and until June 2025, EPS Famisanar has made payments to Colsubsidio for a total value of $2,268,093,000,000 (Two trillion two hundred sixty-eight billion ninety-three million pesos), of which $753,656,000,000 (Seven hundred fifty-three billion six hundred fifty-six thousand pesos) correspond specifically to payments to Colsubsidio Drugstores for dispensing medications. "Despite this, non-compliance persists," Famisanar highlights.

To date, 27,657 PQRDS (Petitions, Complaints, Claims, Reports, and Suggestions) related to Colsubsidio's operations have been filed with EPS Famisanar, of which 10,688 are open and 9,190 correspond to complaints about the non-timely delivery of medications, the EPS reported.
"This situation represents a significant impact on the health and well-being of our members, which is why EPS Famisanar has decided to expand its network of pharmaceutical managers and appoint a new operator to guarantee a safe, effective service aligned with the needs of our members," Famisanar added.
The transition process will begin on August 1, 2025, and will end on September 1, 2025, by which date all members will have a new assigned dispensing point. Detailed information will be communicated to each member in a timely manner through the channels registered in the system (email and/or text message).
The new pharmaceutical operators will be:
  • Ramédicas: Bogotá.
  • Discolmets: Tunja, Chiquinquirá and Paipa.
  • Marcazsalud: Soacha, Fusagasuga, Funza, Girardot, Cajica, La Mesa and Ibague.
  • Sikuany: Villavicencio.
